Representatives from 39 countries are participating in the Technoprom 2023 forum.
Governor Andrey Travnikov discussed promising areas of cooperation with the heads of foreign delegations participating in the Technoprom 2023 forum.
"I am glad to see you in the Novosibirsk Region. Over the ten years of its existence, Technoprom has become the main scientific and technological event in our country. Representatives from 39 countries are participating in the forum, including delegations from 82 regions of our country.
It is gratifying to see the broad geographic interest in Technoprom—the Far East, Central Asia, the Arab world, Africa, and South America. Firstly, our companies are not the only ones trying to take advantage of the period when Western manufacturers have abandoned us; it is clear that many of our friendly partners are looking more closely at the Russian market. "Secondly, this is a response to the trend set by our country: the world is multipolar, so interest in a country that has challenged the old world is high, and people are drawn to us," the head of the region noted.
Among the important areas where mutually beneficial cooperation between the Novosibirsk Region and neighboring countries can be developed are educational and medical tourism, science, and industry, including aviation.
The largest delegation was from the Republic of Belarus: the forum was attended by government leaders, including representatives of industry ministries, as well as scientists from the National Academy of Sciences. The partner country has a separate booth at the exhibition, featuring major companies in the machine tool industry.
The Novosibirsk Region and the Republic of Belarus enjoy truly good-neighborly and historically close relations. Belarus is one of our region's main foreign trade partners. One of the important areas of further cooperation is joint production and the development of public transportation.
The delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran included representatives from the aviation industry, scientific and industrial sectors, and other fields. It's worth noting that the Novosibirsk Region, with its advanced aviation industry, is focusing on developing heavy-duty drones capable of delivering massive payloads. This regional focus was discussed during the "Archipelago-2023" intensive workshop.
Representing Asian and African countries are delegates from the Republic of Senegal, the Republic of Mali, the Republic of Chad, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the BRICS Middle East countries, representatives of the SINAHA government platform from the UAE, and the heads of several companies from nearly 20 countries, many of which are leading the way in investing in scientific and technological projects.
The head of the region also discussed technical and investment opportunities for collaboration and the development of technology transfer models for scientific and technological projects with representatives of foreign delegations.
This year, delegates from Belarus, Iran, Brazil, China, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Myanmar, Sudan, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Chad are participating in the Technoprom forum.
As a reminder, the 10th International Technological Development Forum "Technoprom-2023" is organized to effectively utilize the scientific and innovative potential of the Novosibirsk Region.
