The Global Development Fund Opens New Horizons for Egyptian-Russian Partnership Through Localization of the Spring Industry and Exchange of Raw Materials

The Global Development Fund Opens New Horizons for Egyptian-Russian Partnership Through Localization of the Spring Industry and Exchange of Raw Materials
Within the framework of the Egyptian-Russian partnership, the International Development Fund (IDF) facilitates strategic agreements between ARKA, Diyar, and Yayat Springs Factory. In a move that culminates economic efforts to strengthen international industrial partnerships, and based on the cooperation protocol signed between ARKA—in collaboration with the IDF—and Diyar during the Energy Conference inaugurated by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and in activation of the joint cooperation protocol signed between the two companies on April 20, 2026, an expanded meeting and site visit were held with the management of Yayat Springs Factory at its headquarters in Cairo. Yat Springs Factory is one of the oldest and largest industrial establishments in Egypt, specializing in the manufacture of various types of springs since its founding in 1958. Throughout its history, it has undergone continuous modernization and development, enabling it to comply with the highest international quality standards and meet market needs at competitive prices. Results of Strategic Discussions and Agreements: The positive discussions during the meeting and the field tour of the production lines and showrooms resulted in the following: A Comprehensive Business Plan for Entering the Russian Market: The Spring Factory is offering a two-pronged business plan. The first focuses on providing competitive product supply offers to offer multiple options for the Russian market. The second aims to establish reciprocal trade relations by importing the steel raw materials the factory consumes from Russia. Showcasing Russian Products and Technology: The Spring Factory is making its showroom available to Russian companies and stakeholders to introduce and showcase Russian industrial products and technologies to customers in Egypt. Investment Partnerships in Production Lines: The factory offers promising investment opportunities for Russian companies to establish additional joint production lines within the factory, particularly for companies that require large quantities of springs and related products. This step underscores the unique ideology and investment vision of the International Development Fund, headed by Dr. Hussein Aref, which contributes to opening unprecedented horizons for industrial and commercial cooperation and establishing reciprocal partnerships with friendly countries.
